Custom Lantern Chandelier For Sale

For all of you Boston or New England readers, my client (from the previous post) is selling this amazing custom chandelier.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/Picture96.png" /><br /><br /></div>It was made to look like this stunner:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/JenniferLopez.png" /></div><br />The chandelier was custom ordered by my client through the Boston Design Center about two years ago, before we started working together. It is absolutely gorgeous and is in perfect condition. Here are the measurements:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/dimensions.png" /></div><br />The piece was a bit of an investment at $2300, but it just didn't ever feel right in the space to her, so my client has decided to part with it. If you are local and would like to make a reasonable offer, email me at jenny @jennykomenda.com. Thanks!

Easy Bungalow 5 Knock-Off

I've been working on a beautiful, large house in the Boston area for a while now. The project is almost at completion and I am absolutely chomping at the bit to share the after photos with you all! I would happily move into this home in a heartbeat!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/Picture64.png" /></div><br />Here's a teensy preview. In the older daughter's room, we almost ordered the <a href="http://www.claytongrayhome.com/item.php?item_id=619&manufacturer_id=42">Bungalow 5 Jacqui side table</a>. It retails for $720, which was more than we wanted to spend here.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/dresserbeforephoto.jpg" /></div><br />So my client picked up one of these little nightstands at Home Goods, gave it a paint job, and added new pulls, and<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/nightstandafter.png" /></div><br />Voila! Adorable! Pretty darn close to the inspiration piece and we were able to save $500 for other purchases in the room, including some custom-made curtains in the most perfect shade of coral pink...

Sharpie Wallpaper

I've been contemplating wallpaper patterns for my girls' room.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/310-wall.jpg" /></div><br />The cost of the paper alone (I would hang it myself) is making me think outside the box a little and reminded me of this project <a href="http://www.roomzaar.com/rate-my-space/Bedrooms/Master-BRM---Make-it-Work/detail.esi?oid=16283847">featured on HGTV</a> done by the <a href="http://rethinkdesignstudio.com/blog">Rethink Design Studio</a> (found via <a href="http://vivafullhouse.blogspot.com/2010/06/stencil-and-sharpie.html">Full House</a>).<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/Photo_Video_23808785730272929248450.jpg" /><br /><br /></div>All you need is a stencil and a sharpie. I love that they went with gold! Genius!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/Photo_Video_57257250746884764166821_medium.jpg" /></div><br />I think one of these <a href="http://www.thegbrand.com/whitewallco/patterns.html">Whitewall & Co. stencils</a> would really do the trick, but what I'm really itching to try is a recreation of this beautiful wallpaper in <a href="http://www.lisafinetextiles.com/Lisa_Fine_Textiles/Index.html">Lisa Fine's </a>Paris apartment.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-style: italic;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/LONNYLisaFinesaptPicture10.png" /></span><br /><span style="font-size: 85%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">via </span><a href="http://www.lonnymag.com/" style="font-style: italic;">Lonny</a></span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I think I could maybe pull off something like this free hand with black, gold and green (maybe navy?) sharpies? It would be a fun project and the best part is that if I mess up - I just use a little wall paint to touch things up.</div></div>

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you've enjoyed seeing some of my apartment inspiration images this week. I can't wait to share my projects with you!<br /><br />Here's the last installment of inspiration photos for the week...<br /><br />I love this pattern. And how amazing does it look as wallpaper, headboard AND a bedskirt?! And that giant mirror? Just right.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/IMG_8826.jpg" /><br />Elle Decor<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Isn't great decorating all about nailing the little details? Wouldn't you be thrilled to get ready everyday in a bathroom with this set up??<br /><br /></div><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/lindseyh4.jpg" /><br />Lindsey Coral Harper<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The Swedish roots in my would love a mora clock, or just a beautiful antique clock like this one. Also, I'm a major sucker for black interior doors.</div><br /><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/Picture4444.png" /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Debating between an orange tree and a fiddle leaf fig. Restoration Hardware outlet was having an AMAZING sale on their giant galvanized planters last weekend, I might swing by again this weekend to see if there are any left.</div><br /><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/viadominomag.jpg" /><br />Domino<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Black and white stripes are just perfection in my book.<br /><br /></div><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/leecoutureinnycredbed.jpg" /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">These colors! and that wallpaper...<br /><br /></div><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/blackandwhitestripedbedroom.jpg" /><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br />Isn't this chair fabric lovely? It sort of reminds me of a slate blue and navy dot print linen that I'm using to upholster an arm chair in.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/ashleymcaleerdomino.jpg" /><br />Domino<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Oh how I want these chairs to sit at the ends of my farmhouse table!<br /><br /></div><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/ScannedImage-9-1.jpg" /><br />Lee Industries<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I always come back to this bedroom. It sums up the direction I want to go with our place. Lived in, comfortable, colorful but in a restrained way, and undecorated.<br /><br /></div><img src="http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd246/jkomenda/petercourt-1.jpg" /><br />Peter Dunham<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Another image that hits it right on the head. Yellow. Evie and I are hitting the road tomorrow and heading to Philadelphia for a buying trip. Fingers crossed that I come back with some great vintage furniture and yards and yards of beautiful fabrics for me and my clients.<br /><br />xxxx</div></div>
