I've had a blog/website redesign in the works for a while, but in case you didn't know, a graphic/web design for a real-deal website is super expensive (at least for what I had in mind). I shopped around quite a bit and explored many options. I'd still love to have a real website at some point, but a new blog and a (sort-of) website-looking blog for my professional stuff will have to do in the meantime.
I worked with the fun and fabulous Ellie from Rainy Day Templates. She was fast, friendly and GOOD! If you're looking for complete creative control, but don't want to deal with all the HTML junk, Ellie's your gal. And she's CHEAP, to boot!
The dirty detes for those who asked:Here's where I found my blue and white background. I photographed and photoshopped the header using Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon fabric as the back drop. Schumacher is a to-the-trade manufacturer (though you can buy it through Decorator's Best here) and is very expensive at full price. If you're willing to be patient, you can find yardage on eBay. I was able to source enough of the aqua colorway to upholster my dining room settee (pics coming soon, I promise).
The green notebook is made by Semikolon from Paper-Source. The gray paper label is from the Martha Stewart craft line sold at Michael's. And the personalized 'Jenny' #2 is from this great company. I think it was $12 for 12 pencils, or something like that. These make great gifts, too.
